Over Fifty-Eight Years of Dedicated Service
Charter Members
Mrs. Margaread White, founder of the Central Jersey Club, was the motivating force behind the organization of a group of eighteen women being chartered under the NANBPWC, Inc. This timely event occurred on October 1, 1964, thereby bringing into the fold of business and professional women a group dedicated to the improvement of social and civic conditions – a service organization.
All rights and membership privileges of the National Association were granted the following Charter Members – Dorothy Brown, Alice Brickler, Gladys Byers, Castle Greer, Louise Hughes, Pearl Harris, Greta Butler, Marion Lyons, Valarie Hinton, Mariagnes Lattimer, Sarah McGee, Elsie Netter, Gloria Quails, Shirley Williams, Catherine Darby, Mildred Baird, Julia Ransom, and Margaread White.
Awards
The Central Jersey Club of NANBPWC, Inc. has received significant awards/recognition during its history. Most recently, the club was the recipient of the 2020 "Community Service Award", presented by the City of Asbury Park, New Jersey. The club was honored for over fifty years of dedicated community service and programming.
Past Presidents
Since its inception, the Central Jersey Club of NANBPWC, Inc. has been led by a group of visionary women who have made things happen for the club and for the communities served. All of the attributes of good leadership have been represented by the twenty-seven women who have previously served as president.
