2001: Received Proclamation for Martin L. King Observance from Monmouth County Freeholders

 

2002: Received Award from Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office for Youth Involvement

 

2002: Received Proclamation from City of Asbury Park for MLK Program

 

2004: Received Proclamation from City of Eatontown, Apr 3, 2004 Declared CJC Day

2013: Received Community Service Recognition by Wilbur Ray Scholarship Committee of Brookdale Community College (Mar 2013)

List of significant accomplishments since the club’s formation:

  • Over $350,000 in scholarships has been awarded over the club’s history.

  • Sponsored Annual Career Clinic/Career Day at local college(s) for 30 years

  • Sponsored Fresh Air Fund’s “Friendly Town” in Neptune/Asbury Park area in 1970’s

  • Sponsored major community-wide Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Memorial Observance every year since 1988.

  • Sponsored Annual Afternoon of Arts and Music at Monmouth County Library Headquarters showcasing talents of local young people every year from 1992 through 2010.

  • Sustained major mentoring/tutoring program at Sisters Academy, a local school for at-risk girls from Grades 5 through 8. Established an Annual CJC Scholarship for most improved student. This program was initiated in 2000 and continues to date.

  • Sustained involvement as a Partner In Health organization with Meridian Health since 1998.

  • Co-Sponsored and sustains involvement of club sisters with the Neptune Chapter of New Jersey Orators. This chapter was chartered in 2001.

  • Sponsored a candidate for the Northeast District Vocal Arts Competition for Emerging Artists (May 7, 2005) (Second Place Winner Charles Freeman).

  • Provided guidance and financial support to the Central Jersey Youth Club as they hosted the 2006 NED Youth Conference at the Neptune Middle School.

  • Sponsored annual Women’s History and Black History Programs and Essay Contests.

  • Sponsored annual Christmas parties at local schools.

  • Sustained involvement with the Neptune Township Police Department Liaison since 2011

  • Sponsored "GO RED HEALTH EVENT" since 2014

  • Participate in "NATIONAL Night Out" since 2014
